I was very impressed with the Epson 1735W. It does everything a good multimedia projector should, has decent brightness, excellent portability and terrific (and painless) wireless networking. Using the USB network key, connecting wirelessly to the 1735W is as easy as turning on your computer.
Colors are deep and rich, making this a great projector for photo presentations and the quality of its video reproduction is very pleasing to the eye as well.
The 1735W comes with a travel bag that holds the projector and all of its cables and accessories. That’s good, because its light weight and easy setup make it a natural for those who travel a lot, making presentations at each stop. It can also be permanently mounted in a small boardroom or classroom, while maintain easy access to controls, lamp and air filter.

One of the crucial features delivered by the EB-1735W is its ability to provide up to 3000 ANSI lumens via incredibly efficient E–TORL (Epson Twin Optimised Reflection Lamp) technology. Designed to minimise light leakage — a primary cause of lamp inefficiency — and minimise light diffraction, E–TORL lamps combine an ellipsoidal reflector, spherical lens and hemispherical mirror. This combination ensures optimum light efficiency with minimal power consumption and heat generation.

To ensure the EB-1735W provides the best possible fit with today's increasingly wireless environment, the projector has been designed with enterprise–level security features. Among the various security and encryption technologies incorporated within the projector are:

WiFi Protected Access–PreShared Key (WPA–PSK) security specification, often referred to as WPA "Home", which uses a key of 256 bits in length

Wireless connection to PCs and laptops can be done in seconds with ?Quick Wireless Connection? using the USB wireless key included with the projector. Simply plug the USB wireless key into the PC or lap top and the wireless connection is made automatically ? no need to wrestle with set up or connection screens.
The EB-1735W projectors are also compatible with the Windows Vista Network Projector function, which enables full PC to projector functionality in just three clicks of a mouse.
The EB-1735W incorporate Epson?s exclusive EasyMP technology with network capability and multi-screen display allowing up to four projectors to be connected wirelessly to just one computer, thus creating larger, panoramic or split-screen displays, or simultaneous display of the output from four different applications. Contributing significantly to the EB-1735W's high performance when operating in a wireless* network environment is the Epson NS Connection Software, designed specifically to improve the compression and decompression of data; resulting in superb image quality and transfer speed. Using Epson's NS Connection wireless mode the EB-1735W support 802.11a/b/g protocols, achieving wireless transfer rate of up to 54Mbps.

With the EasyMP NS ” Presenter View” function you can project a Powerpoint slide image on the screen while at the same time viewing presentation notes and operating buttons to go forward and back between slides on your computer monitor.
2000:1 Contrast Ratio
With a contrast ratio of 2000:1, the EB-1735W projects bright scenes with ultra bright whites, and dark scenes with rich blacks. Underpinning the projector's ability to regulate the brightness and contrast of every scene is the advanced Auto Iris.
Using the Auto Iris function, the
EB-1735W controls and adjusts lamp brightness levels 60 times every second. When the projector is displaying a light scene, the iris is opened to allow more light to pass through to the LCD panels, resulting in a bright image. For dark scenes, the iris opening is reduced, delivering richer blacks than are possible with less advanced systems.

You can stop and resume presentations easily by opening and closing the A/V mute slide. It will automatically change to the low fan noise mode when the slide is closed.
