10-bit image processing
Optoma's TI DPP3020 High performance image scalar allows the HD70 to produce one of the highest levels of the best colour reproduction possible. This 10 Bit Image processing allows the allows the HD70 to display 1,070,000,000 colour's which means more shades more detail and a true colour image.
7 segment Colour Wheel
As with all DLP projectors the HD70 relies on a colour wheel to produce the colour's in the image. Unlike many DLP models the HD 70 features an amazing 7 segment colour wheel with a 4x speed. This allows for a smoother image, better colour reproduction, and, with the faster rotation and more segments, eliminates rainbow effects that plagued some early DLP models.
Handy Backlit remote
As most home theatre is done in a darkened room, Optoma has included a handy backlit remote so you can control the projector even with the lights off.
Excellent Connectivity
The HD70 allows you to connect to almost anything, or several devices at once. It has the new HDMI connection, Component, Composite, S-video, and a 15 pin D-sub that can be used for connection to a PC or via an adaptor to SCART or a secondary component. Industry Leading Warranty
Many projectors come with a 2 year warranty, some even with a 1 year warranty, and some only warrant their lamp for the first few months. Optoma has gone that one step further with an industry leading 3 year warranty on the projector plus a lamp warranty 4 times longer than most other projectors (1 year/1000 on lamp). |

OUR SAY
Optoma has made yet another strong performer with the HD70. This little powerhouse offers a high definition resolution of 1280 x 720 together with a massive 4000:1 contrast. The High definition resolution will give you great detail while the high contrast ratio provides good reproduction of dark shades and strong blacks.
The HD70 also features an amazing 7 segment colour wheel running at 4X speed ,ensuring awesome colour reproduction and eliminating the chance of seeing the rainbow effect visible in older model DLP projectors.
With all the inputs you'll ever need, such as the 15pin D-Sub, Composite RCA, S-video, the new HDMI, and Component, |
the DV10 is very easy to connect to your dvd player or other theatre products. Additionally Optoma has included a 12v relay so you can connect certain motorised screens to the projector that can automatically lower or raise when the projector is turned on/off.
